Library Events National / International Conference Ø
As a part of celebrations of completing a decade
in Pursuit of Knowledge ( 2007-2017) by IISER Mohali, the Library organized 6th
International Library and Information Professionals Summit (ILIPS- 2017) on
“Dynamics of Library for Excellence in Electronic Revolution” during 6-8
April 2017 in association with Society for Library Professionals
(SLP)& Special Libraries Association (SLA) – Asian Chapter . There
were around 250 Indian delegates and 25 International delegates from 12
Countries across Globe have participated. Prof. Arun Kumar Grover, Vice
Chancellor, Panjab University was the Chief Guest and Prof. N. Sathyamurthy,
Director, IISER Mohali was the Guest of Honour during the inaugural function
and Ms. Dee Magnoni, President, SLA- USA has delivered Keynote address. There
were VII technical sessions, one Panel discussion and one Interactive
Workshop. 14 International and 12 National Invited Speakers shared their
Knowledge and experience with participants.

IISER Mohali has organised 11th Annual Meet & Workshop
of INDEST- AICTE Consortium in association with IIT, Delhi
during 29th and 30th April 2015. Prof. Shevgaonkar,
Director, IIT Delhi, the Chief Guest of the occasion and Prof. N.
Sathyamurthy, Director, IISER Mohali was the Guest of Honour during the
inaugural function and Prof. Timothy Gonsalves, Director IIT Mandi, Prof.
Arun Kumar grover, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, were Chief Guests of
Valedictory Ceremony. Dr. Jagadish Arora, Director, INFLIBNET has delivered
Keynote address. There were around 300 delegates participated and 15 invited
speakers delivered talks on latest technologies in 4 technical sessions, one

in technical Writing- Ways to write scientific Manuscripts” and
Editorial- board of Taylor and Francis has given presentations on How to
write a book and also how to write a Research paper on 12th Sept

Skills in English” and also hands-on training on “Grammarly tool” on
29th August 2015.

Chandigarh based Academic and Research Libraries meet was held by IISER
Mohali library on 31st October 2012 in IISER Mohali. The meeting was
chaired by Prof. N. Sathyamurthy, Director, IISER Mohali, Co-Chaired by Prof.
Sudeshna, Chairman, Library Committee. Ø Second and follow up meeting was
organized by IISER Mohali library at AC Joshi Library, Panjab
University-2013. 7. Organized training for Library Staff on
